In case you don't know me yet, I am a Real Estate Agent/Associate Broker in Scottsdale, Arizona who was stuck in the up-and-down real estate agent cycle balancing my personal life with my business life.
After spending 17-years in the legal field, I realized I had a higher calling. In 2004, I quit my very successful, but boring, career (as single mother of two teenage boys) and became a real estate agent. Everyone told me I was crazy! But, within the first year, I began working for a broker who provided me an average of 150-200 internet real estate leads per MONTH in one of the most competitive and active real estate markets in the country!
YES, THAT WAS PER MONTH! On the surface that sounds great... but for one agent working her business and trying to raise her children and put food on the table as a single mother... IT WAS NOT FUN!!
I had to learn how to engage, how to get the leads to open my email, what to say to get them to call and write me back, how to automate it all for the long-term and how to be a real estate agent while juggling a personal life. At times, I paid my 'tween' 10 cents for every email he would copy/paste/send for me to help me get on top of of my leads so my broker wouldn't shut me down for lack of communication! (that was my way of automating back then.. ha, ha!)
On top of all that I was running around showing homes (I estimate about 8,000 to 10,000 doors opened - often times in 110 degree Arizona heat), meeting sellers, writing contracts, negotiating, and closing deals and trying damn hard to keep it all together without it all falling apart!
For the record, I closed 42 deals my first year working these leads all by myself, and I gave my broker 65% of every deal I did (yes, that was the trade-off!).
Since then... myself, agents on my teams, and real estate pros I have trained and mentored from coast-to-coast on the subject of drip campaigns, CRM's and lead conversion, have closed thousands of real estate transactions as a result of drip campaigns I created and lead conversion systems I learned and then have taught. I also went on to own & manage my own brokerage & 100+ agent team for the largest family-owned brokerage in Arizona.
Today, I feel like Elton John, because "I'm Still Standing.. yeah, yeah, yeah" and although I still do a bit of real estate and manage a small team...my passion is to consult, train and mentor real estate pros to convert more of their expensive and time-consuming leads through better long-term follow-up content and increased understanding of their CRM tools.
REAL ESTATE PRO'S.... PLEASE... STOP spending any more money lead generating until you get better follow-up plans in place. I won't rest until I get the message out to every hard working real estate pro about the important of engaging to convert more of real estate prospects through educating and instilling trust with great content, long-term follow-up plans and learning how to use our CRM!
STOP THE MADNESS ... DON'T RE-INVENT THE WHEEL and LET'S GET THIS SET UP RIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL!
